Pro-Life Groups Announce “Legislating for Human Dignity,” a Nationwide Initiative to Advance Policy Rooted in Human Worth

The DFLA Education Fund, in partnership with Rehumanize International and the Consistent Life Network, today announced the launch of Legislating for Human Dignity, a comprehensive advocacy initiative committed to protecting every human life and strengthening the systems that allow families and communities to flourish. At a moment when national discourse is polarized and public trust is strained, this initiative will offer a principled, solutions-focused approach grounded in the belief that every person possesses inherent, inviolable dignity.
“Human dignity is not negotiable and cannot be compartmentalized,” said Kristen Day, executive director, DFLA Education Fund. “Whether we are discussing immigration, healthcare, or maternal health, our nation is strongest when its laws reflect our shared responsibility to care for one another. Legislating for Human Dignity will bring that vision to policymakers, families, and voters who want a politics that prioritizes people over partisanship.
Legislating for Human Dignity invites lawmakers, civic leaders, and the public to join in advancing an agenda that transcends the stale partisan divide.
“For too long, politicians have treated their constituents as pawns to barter for political power instead of human beings whose rights they are charged with upholding, said Lauren Pope, executive director, Rehumanize International. “At a moment when government power is increasingly wielded without accountability, we call upon our elected officials to instead make human dignity the standard by which every law, every budget, and every policy is judged. When we do that, we build a country where every person, born and unborn, immigrant and citizen, condemned and free, is treated as irreplaceable.”
The initiative will include policy proposals, state-level advocacy strategies, educational resources, and partnerships with community organizations dedicated to human-centered solutions.
Christy Yao Pelliccioni, former president of Consistent Life Network, underscored the importance of protecting the dignity of every human life, noting that “Precisely because life is sacred, the taking of even one human life is a momentous event.”
“Americans are hungry for a politics that values the human person in every stage of life,” said Day. “This initiative provides a roadmap for how we can move forward—together—on the basis of respect, compassion, and shared responsibility.”
